It was very exciting and knowledgeable experience in D Y Patil college the department staff is extremely talented and down to earth, they never object to your doubts rather always eager to help students to solve their problems.
Some of the faculty are from IIT passed out and some of them have qualified for the well know competitive exams and some are seeking Ph.D. All the staff is well mannered at talking to students and neither even a faculty member tries to even abuse or say something bad to students so that's a good thing.
Excellent campus life with opportunity of growth in different sections of life is available at campus. good service with medical treatment centre, sports complex for sport loving people, gymnasium for fitness freak people, good teaching faculty and labs gives overall growth for students.
College intern ship offered was in Sugar factory nearby which gave broad experience of mechanical equipment and processes, different operation techniques, man power management, security system, safety processes etc.no stipend was offered as we ourself opted for intern ship.
Placement is average in this college. Some students (30-40%) got placed from IT and comp branches while 20% from Mechanical. Major companies visited in campus are TCS and Tech mahindra. Package offered is 3 lpa.
