It's good only if you're ready to work in core field(kinda different from IT culture I feel), but still I think textile field is bit saturated ,so most companies offer very low package below 4 lowest can be below 1.8 oe 2 lpa.

But few mass recruiters (Accenture IBM etc) allow textile students also,but if you wanna do something on your own like start up your own company (Textile) after some years(not ok for middle class).Then you can opt this course.
