IIT Roorkee Electrical department is providing the courses at both the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels and providing excellent facilities to carry out research work for Doctor of Philosophy. As it is one of those old IIT's we have, placements are very good. According to NIRF 2019 ranking it stands at 11th posting. There is more than 90% placement ratio. According to the IIT Roorkee 2018 placement report, total number of 189 offers were made by 240 companies registered for placements.
