As per the student reviews, the Academic record on JSS Medical College is pretty good. The faculty is said to be considerate and cooperative, and the course is said to be good in research. There are a lot of incentives for students who want to research and a lot of organizations provide scholarships for the same.

Every student has to do a one-year mandatory internship and will be posted to JSS Hospital Mysore with a stipend of ₹8000 per month for the Undergraduates. With the internship opportunity, you will get to know about the actual problems which Doctors in Hospitals face. 

As far as the placement wing is concerned, you won't be offered jobs right away. You will have to sit for Postgraduate medical exams to prove your merit.
