Placement in Calcutta University for Computer Science or IT students is pretty average. Only a few big MNCs offer above average package and that too, to only exceptional students with great coding skills. You can study there if you want a decent job but don't expect a great job. Also, the crowd is nice and diversified, so studying here will give you more than just placements. All the best.
