University Institutute of Technology is a "NAAC A accredited" tier-1 (under TEQIP) government autonomous (University Department) college of Engineering & Technology  , constituent to Burdwan University , located in Burdwan  , West Bengal  . It is only Government Engineering College located in Burdwan District. The college is accredited AAA+ by Careers360 In 2012.

The instituted is funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the state government. UIT Burdwan is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute offers undergraduate (BE) and postgraduate (ME) courses in various areas.
