The admission in every college varies from one to the other. The admission process is totally different for each college and it depends on the college and their own departments. You have not mentioned any particular college regarding which you want the information so I'm going to tell you about it in general.

Usually the admission process lasts for a month or so and it also depends on the seat vacancies. If even after the admissions are closed, the college feels that many seats are still vacant, they may reopen the admission. You can ask about it to the college helpline that you are interested in.
