A candidate can appear for the exam in three consecutive years starting from the year they pass their class 12th examination. Since JEE Mains is conducted twice a year (January and April sessions), you get a maximum of 6 attempts in these three years.
Ensure you meet all other eligibility criteria, such as age limit and qualifying subjects in class 12, to apply successfully.

Over the course of three years, candidates are permitted to take the JEE Main exam six times. The JEE Main exam is open to those who qualified in the previous two years or who are taking the Class 12 exam. The JEE Main test is given by the NTA in two sessions, in January and April.
