Established in 1984, Goa University started functioning from 1985. The campus of the university is spread over an area of 402 acres of land. 61 colleges are affiliated with Goa University. The university has five schools on its campus. Its mission and vision is to impart tertiary level of education and attain global competency in teaching and research.
