The counselling for NEET UG is conducted at two levels every year. MCC conducts the counselling at the national level where it allocates seats to all the deemed universities and 15% of the public University that comes under various States with the exception of Jammu Kashmir. Secondly counselling is organised by various state authorities to fill the 85% of the total seats in the state it and candidates who have domicile of that particular state are eligible to participate in the state counselling. The seat matrix in every state is released by the state authorities some seats are reserved for various categories as per the policies of state.
