In total there were 2116 seats for Round 1 Jan 2018 DNB Post MBBS session. Of these 1947 seats were Gen category (only Central institutes follow reservation).

• Anesthesiology 245 seats
• General surgery 217 seats
• Pediatrics 193
• Gynaecology 199
• Ophthalmology 60
• Orthopaedic Surgery 145

There may have be a few additional seats in Jan 2019. Generally the trend is around 5% to 10% addition every year. Note that this does not include the July session or the PDCET seats Jan/July.
