As per the rules of Indian Government, in IIM'S some seats are reserved. 27% seats are reserved for NC-OBC, 15% FOR SC, 7.5% for ST, 5% for PERSONS WITH BENCHMARKS DISABILITIES(PwD), and upto 10% for Economically Weaker Sextions ( EWS).

Top IIM'S has seats for EWS categories, as Kolkata IIM has 18seats in this section. IIM Ahmedabad has more than 10 seats in this section. IIMs Udaipur also have more than 10 seats in section.

IIM Lucknow, IIMs Nagpur, Kozhikode also have seats under this category.
