Hello

The cutoff varies for every college. However a score of 185+ would keep you on the safer side of securing a seat in mechanical branch under obc category in the top NIT'S.

Minimum marks are different for all top NITs based on Home State quota and Allindia Quota.

Generally anything above 175 to 200+ will be considered safe enough.
