Hey aspirant,
Marks obtained in class 12th will not get you into IIT , it is your performance in JEE adv that will determine your eligibility to get into IIT. But to be eligible to take JEE adv you must score 75% ( Gen / OBC ), 65% ( SC/ ST ) or should be in top 20 percentile in 12th board exam .
However, to qualify for JEE advanced, one must have appeared for JEE mains and must be in top 2.24 lakh ranks.
The strategy for JEE Main 2018 that we have to follow :
1. Cover the syllabus for class 11th & 12th thoroughly.
2. Join a coaching institute with an excellent faculty. If you are more into self study then practice using the online preparation platform.
3.Prepare the topic wise notes & find the quick solution.
4. Follow the specified book & once the chapter is completed then attempt as many mock papers as you can and start solving questions of the same chapter.
5. Take time for doing things to release your stress & refresh your mind.
6. Clear your doubts. Don't hesitate asking questions, this will make you understand things better.
All the best!
