Hello there!!! To attain a rank below 8k you must score somewhere around 190. Although each year the difficulty level and number of candidates change because of which you can't be dependent on the said data. Hope this helps.

Hi ravinder,
No one can be definite sure in prediction that how much is sufficient for one to get a rank under 8k .
Because it all depends on paper difficulty .
My friend scored 190 marks in jee 2018 he got a rank under 8k but this year 190 marks counts to 15 k rank so this all depends on paper difficulty so according to percentile when you have scored more than 98.5 percentile then definitely your rank will be less than 8000.

Hope it helps!!!

Hello Ravinder
As you know that percentile system is adopted from this year which makes the exam more complicated and competitive.
So accordingly to the last year experience and seeing this year results ; you need to secure at least 200+ marks ( may be more because next year the students are more aware about the two chances given and from the percentile system it is all changed )
So good luck

Hello Ravinder,
Now, it depends on the level of the paper because normalisation occurs. You should keep a target of atleast 230 marks in JEE MAINS to get under 8,000 CRL.
