To get admitted to an NIT , you generally need a minimum of 95 + percentile for the General category and for reserved categories like OBC , SC and ST 80 + percentile.

The exact required percentile you need to get for admission in NIT college varies significantly depending on the specific NIT , the course and your category , if you want to go in TOP NITs then it will require you to score above 99 + percentile . Like for top NITs like NIT Warangal requires you to score between 97 to 99 percentile if you belong from general category and for reserved categories you can expect around 80 to 85 percentile.
