In year 2019 according to the Josaa seat matrix,in the general category there are 8802 seats in NITs and 5581 seats in IITs,1918 seats in IIITs and 2742 seats in GFTIs.In the OBC-NCL Category there are 4615 seats in NITs and 3068 seats in IITs,1 032 seats in IIITs and 741 seats in GFTIs.In the SC Category there are 2620 seats in NITs and 1728 seats in IITs,5 81 seats in IIITs and 624 seats in GFTIs.In the ST Category 1640 seats in NITs and 856 seats in IITs ,294 seats in IIITs and 371 seats in GFTIs.
