EWS category brought this year only. According to Central Government, there is 10% reservation for EWS Category in academic institutes. So let it be IITs or NITs, there will be 10% reservation in seats. You have to check the seat matrix in order to get the actual number of reserved seats. NIT Admission occurs through JoSAA which admits students based on rank list prepared using JEE Mains and thereby the cut-off.
