Well that totally depend on how much seats are available on that particular year and how much students are applying for admission, considering we are talking about both all states counseling and jossa counseling, some students will get seats according to their ranks in jee mains for jossa counseling, and rest will get from state counseling if they have appropriate rank according to the need of that college, and rest all will get surely admission to private colleges with any number of rank since, you just have to be wealthy to get admission to private college for engineering no matter what rank you have even you have last rank in jee main rankings surely you'll find college giving you admission, on account of high amount of money.
So there's not something like minimum rank for admission in engineering, if you have money you will surely get admitted somewhere.
