Hello.
As per the reports more than 9.65 lakh candidates have enrolled for the JEE Main 2019 exam to be held between January 06 to 20, 2019. As per the sources, the number of registrations received was more than the expectations of NTA.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting JEE Main for the first time starting form 2019 onwards, twice a year. The JEE Main 2019 – II exam will be held in the month of April 2019. Sources say that NTA has anticipated registrations from about 6 lakh candidates for the first attempt. However, they have received a much larger figure.
According to the sources at HRD ministry, this figure definitely has proven to be a support to the idea of conducting JEE Main twice a year and in online mode only.
As per the report out of the total 9.65 lakh registered candidates, 6.85 lakhs are males and 2.8 lakhs are females. In addition to that, 38 transgenders have applied.
