Every candidate has a maximum of three attempts for JEE Main. To apply for the exam you need to pass 10+2 or the equivalent examination in 2017 or 2018. Candidates can appear twice for the entrance test in a year, The best score in two attempts of a year will be considered for the admission. Hello Harsh,
Candidates who will be appearing in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) in 2019 will be able to appear in JEE Main 2019 both January and April Session and thereafter in JEE Main 2020 and JEE Main 2021.
Since, best score out of two attempts every year will be considered by the admission authority, therefore, candidates will be able to appear for a maximum of 3 attempts in JEE Main. Also, age will also be the deciding factor while applying for JEE Main entrance examination.
