Since 2021, due to the pandemic situation, a candidate can give JEE Mains 4 times per year. The only restriction is you are eligible within 2 years of passing class XII. So, if your passing year is 2021, then you can give the JEE mains 2 times with a total of 8 attempts.

A candidate can give JEE Main exam four times over a period of three consecutive years. In a year, a candidate can appear for JEE Main twice in the months of January and April.If the candidate has passed 12th exam in 2021 then the candidate can appear in 2022and 2023 JEE Main. If the candidate is appearing for the class 12th board exam in 2022, then he/she can appear in both the sessions of JEE Main in years 2022, 2023and 2024
