Hello,

In order to become a gynecologist in India, you will need to complete several years of education and training. First, you will need to complete an MBBS degree, which usually takes around 5.5 years to complete, including a one-year internship. After completing your MBBS, you will need to pursue a postgraduate degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is a three-year Master of Surgery (MS) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. After your postgraduate degree, you will need to undergo a residency training program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. This training period typically lasts for three years, during which you will gain practical experience and further develop your skills in the field. Once you have completed your residency training, you will need to obtain certification from the MCI or the respective state medical council. This certification is necessary to practice as a gynecologist in India.

Overall, the journey to becoming a gynecologist in India can take around 11-12 years.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you
