NCERT books are helpful to clear your basics. So, you can build your fundamentals strong. To score good marks or to clear JEE you have to refer other books as well but you can't ignore NCERT your first priority should be NCERT books.

Scoring in JEE main only depends on you. To clear your exam you need to solve as many as MCQs for your practice, previous year papers and complete mock test series.
