Dear Candidate,

Total fees of NIT for candidate is Rs 1,20,000 per year. General candidate need to pay full fees while OBC-NCL candidates whose family income is below 1 lakh get full fee wavier on tution fees while OBC-NCL candidates whose family income is less than 5 lakh get 2/3rd fee waiver on tution fees.

Whereas SC/ST candidate need not to pay any fees in NIT.The hostel and mess fees in NIT is around 25-30 thousand.These fees have to be paid by everyone.There is no concession on Hostel and mess fees for any category.

Hello student,

All NITs are under central government. ST students do not need to pay any kind of tuition fees. They only need to pay semester fees for exam. It varies from college to college. They also get scholarships depending on their marks and merits. The amount of semester fees are in the range of 35000.
