The cutoffs of any college generally follow the trend:
UR>OBC>SC>ST

Amongst these it's seen that the cutoff marks as well as ranks of the UR and OBC category are quite close to each other.
Let's focus on the cutoff ranks of JIPMER for the OBC category in 2018 and 2017

2017 :
Puducherry Campus : 60
Karaikal Campus : 104

2018 :
Puducherry Campus : 51
Karaikal Campus : 240

You can clearly see the cut throat competition prevalent.
Assuming one to be on the safer side,
For the OBC category, it would be advised to score a minimum of 740+/800.

Although it's just a rough guess out of all possibilities, yet, the greater you score, the safer you stay.
