Your marks should be around 200-220 in jee mains to get a rank under 8000 according to this year......but it varies every year.........but 200-220 marks would probably give you a rank under 8000....so work hard from today to get that rank......hope it helps!!

It depends on level of paper. To be on safer side try to get 200+ to get 8000 rank. In my time(2014) I got around 5400 with 219 in Mains and 95% in CBSE. Normalised marks comes out to be 210.

It's depends on year to year as in this the cutoff of general category students is very low that is 81 , so to score under 8000 rank you have to score low as compares to previous years high cutoff.

So for common you must have to score more that 220 marks in JEE mains
