Hi Digendra,

To get a decent branch in top NITs/ IIITs or GFTIs, your rank should be less than 10k(even 12k). If you want CSE then your rank should be less than 5k. I believe at this stage you must not think about this and instead you should aim for top 5 older IITs.

Hello Digendra,
To get into top rated nits or iiits,
Your rank must be under 3k.
And for moderate colleges and new colleges, your rank must be under 25k to be in the safe zone.
You can also get admission under 30k in the nit of your state using state quota.

Hi dignendra ,
Conditions are really different for all castes .
If one is a general candidate then for him to get admission into nit is tougher as his closing rank ends upto a max of 35k .
But for obc category student their category rank should be below 13k to 14k to get admission into any nits , iiits or GFTIs.
But for sc and st category student their category rank should be below 6k to 7k to get admission .
