For becoming Psychiatrist, you need to complete your MBBS first. Psychiatric is a specialization which is done after MBBS. Now in order to get a government seat in MBBS, you must aim to secure a score around 550 at least if you apply for state quota. For all India quota the cutoffs are even more higher, over 600 marks. You have to complete the entire MBBS Program along with the mandatory internship. Post this, you have to appear for Neet PG which may be replaced by NEXT for getting admission in Psychiatry. So Neet is not directly related to it but for the first step i.e. MBBS, Neet is mandatory.
