There is no bar for minimum marks to secure a seat at any NIT through Jee mains. The only compulsion is that you must have obtained passing marks in 12th std, or any equivalent exam.

The new eligibility criterion for admissions to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs has been announced after MHRD eliminated 40 per cent weightage to class XII board marks in preparing JEE Main Rank List.

As per the notification, For candidates to qualify for admissions to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs, they should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th exam conducted by the respective boards.
