here's a short summary regarding the percentage required to get admission in arts stream:-

MINIMUM REQUIRED :- passed class 12th with around 35-50% is accepted in most of the colleges.

GOOD UNIVERSITIES :- around 55-65% in 12th

TOP COLLEGES (eg:- DU, BHU, JNU, Christ etc) :- around 75-95% depending on subject.

RESERVATION CATEGORIES :- gets relaxation in cutoffs.

There is no specific percentage required to get admission to any stream whether it be arts, commerce or science. You just need to get pass in Class 10th to get admission in Class 11th Arts stream. However, some high demand schools keep a minimum percentage but that too mostly for Science Stream.

so , you want to take admission in arts stream ,

basically after 10th (for 11th Arts stream ) , you need to pass in all subjects with qualifying marks , Some government as well as private institute minimum percentage is 50%–60%.

After 12th (for BA or UG in Arts) , you need at least 40% to 50% aggregate in Class 12. To take admission in Good colleges you need 60–75% , for Top universities (like DU) you 85–95% for popular courses.

For admission in Arts (BA) stream, the percentage required depends on your category, subjects, and the university or college. Generally, general category students need around 40-50% while reserved Categories may get in with 40-45%. Top or highly competitive universities and popular subjects may require much higher percentages, sometimes above 70%-80%. Factors like board, number of applicants, seats and reservation policies affect cutoffs.

So aiming for atleast 50-60% gives a reaonsable chance, but top universities need significantly higher marks .

With respect to the CBSE board, you just need passing marks in class X to get admission in arts stream. A student with 35% or more can opt for arts stream.
