Well doing MBA in a good and renouned college is always suggested. The reasons behind this is that the companies come to reputed college for placement. After investing this much amount we need to get a good job.

Now answering you, a percentile above 80 will be considered good to get into a good college. Above that is awesome, but below this will be a pain to get admission.

So set the target accordingly and prepare.

Depends alot on which colleges you are targetting and also your past academics. MBA courses in India  on an average cost somewhere around 12-20 lakhs. so it is very important to enroll into a good college so that you get a better ROI after you leave the college.

Things to keep in mind for top 3 Colleges.

• IIM-A/C- 65+% in X,XII and grads ensures that you clear the minimum eligibility criteria. so after this you need a 99.95+ percentile.
• IIM B needs a solid academic background plus some Work-ex.

This minimum percentile game is tricky. There are things that you need to keep in mind:
1) which IIM are you looking at? - For IIM Ahmedabad your academic qualifications are not very important. A 65+ in each of X, XII and graduation (if grads>70m, then X or XII could be between 60 and 65 as well) will ensure that you clear the minimum academic rating score. Thus, all that matters is that you clear the cut-off (99.65+). Others like IIM B need you to have a decent academic background

2) Your academic background - Say you are one of those who has scored 90+ in X and XII and 80+ in graduation, then even a 96-97 percentile might fetch you a call from IIM B, K, I and the likes.
