Hello aspirant,

The NIFT entrance exam is a prestigious exam for aspirants who want to study in various fashion related courses. The entrance exam is divided into various sections which include – 1. Written Test comprising of GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT (Creative Ability Test), 2.) Situation Test; 3.) Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

For Bachelor of Design, the weightage of CAT is 50%, GAT is 30% and Situation Test is 20%. For Bachelor of Fashion Technology. the weightage of GAT is 100%. For Master of Design, the weightage of CAT is 40%, GAT is 30% and Group Discussion/ Personal Interview is 30%. For Master of  Fashion Technology, the weightage of GAT is 70% and Group Discussion/ Personal Interview is 30%. For Master of Fashion Management, the weightage of GAT is 70% and Group Discussion/ Personal Interview is 30%. GAT and CAT tests are of 100 marks each. So the total marks for written exam is 200.
