Under normal physiological conditions, haemoglobin is 97% saturated.

1gm Hb carries 1.34ml of Oxygen

Lets say normal Hb level is 15gm/dl irrespective of gender.

So 100ml = 15gm Hb

100ml blood carries = 15 x 1.34ml = 20ml

So 500ml blood carries = 20 x 5 = 100ml Oxygen by Haemoglobin
