For admission into Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies, the Eligibility Criteria is Passing 10+2 examination with at least 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in English, and Selection Criteria is based on 10+2 marks and  IMUCET scores. Then there is an entrance exam conducted by the college followed the Psychometry test, aptitude test, medical test, and an interview.
