The total number of seats offered by participating medical and dentistry colleges across India is referred to as the Seat Matrix. The number of vacant seats is also mentioned in the seat matrix. Before the choice filling and choice locking rounds within the specified deadlines, candidates participating in the NEET UG counseling rounds must go over the NEET UG seat matrix or the seat vacant.

During counseling, the seat matrix displays the total number of seats available in a certain college. It varies from year to year due to the cutoff. Because there are fewer tickets available, the cutoff will be higher.
