You shpukd but two book snamely:

Word power made easy by Norman Lewis
Verbally ability and Readings comprehension by Arun Sharma
Alsoread two newspapers daily for 1hour and watch any one news channel daily
You shpuld grasp and unserstand words firstly and use dictionary with you in hand to understanding faster and hence reading necomes easier
