Many people will tell you that first you need to identify your interest and the in unit to choose your branch but it is very hard when your class in class 12th to identify your interest and most of the student choose engineering just to earn money not to do some research I am telling for most of the screen not for all so in general Computer Science and Engineering offers a great earning opportunities because packages and placements are very good in Computer Science and Engineering and if you have any specific interest then you should go for it.

first you've to listen to your own interests.whenever you're involving in any particular work beyond your strength, that is your favourite thing.if you're very interested in apps developing, design and hacking,you can take it/cse.if you're interested in medical field but wanna do engineering, then you can choose bio medical engineering/bio tech/nanotech. so your interest/favourite subjects is very important thing.
