Cetrizine is an antihistamine drug which acts by blocking the histamine receptors in the body. It is taken during inflammation and allergic conditions.
Being an antihistamine drug, it alters the sleep pathway and induces serotonin. Hence it makes you feel drowsy and is a sleep inducer.
