There are various steps in order to apply for National Defence Academy (NDA):

1. Entrance Test
Fistly the eligible candidates need to appear for NDA Entrance examination which is conducted twice a year by the UPSC.

2. SSB Interview
Those aspirants who qualifies the Entrance test needs to appear in the SSB Interview. SSB Interview is based on the rank obtained in the NDA Entrance Examination.

3. Medical Test
After the SSB Interview, selected candidates are required to appear for the medical test.

4. Final Selection
At last the candidates are selected on the basis of merit list which is generated by the SSB and Medical Board
