There are various options to enter the field. Such as NDA , CDS, NCC and AFCAT. But all except AFCAT are for men only. AFCAT is for  both men and women. AFCAT allows you to get into flying branch of SSC for 14 years (short period). The duration of training for flying branch is 74 weeks at Air Force Training Establishment.

To become a fighter pilot in the Indian Airforce firstly, you have to take science as a stream in your 11th and 12th with Maths. After completing your 12th boys usually apply fir NDA that's National Defense Academy and opt for Airforce. But for girls NDA isn't an option so you have to do your undergraduation in either BE or Btech. Once you're done with your undergrads, you can apply for two national level exams.
One is CDSE which is for all the defence services; Army, Navy and Airforce and the other is AFCAT for only Airforce. If you clear these exams then you'll go through a 5 day interview called SSB and once you clear it you'll go to the academy for a year or so. Then you'll join the Airforce.
In the Airforce you can volunteer for fighter pilot and you'll go through few tests again.

In order to be a part of Indian airforce as a fighter pilot, one has to clear any of the following exams after class 12th or graduation:

National Defence Academy (NDA), Combined Defence Services Exam (CDSE),

NCC entry and

Short Service Commission Entry (SSC) 

One needs to undergo rigorous training in order  sustain air to air combat while flying a fighter plane

Becoming a fighter pilot in The indian airforce , well as badass as it sounds there are a lots off ifs and buts attached to it , you have to be physically and mentally sound to be a part of the elite . Well there are three entries when it comes to the journey of being a fighter pilot ,
1. NDA, KHADAKWASLA
12TH pass after getting selected for the academy are trained here of a period of 3 years and then one year in airforce academy dundigal and from there the journey continues from there
2. Afcat entry
