HiiiPsychiatry is basically a medical specialisation so the basic qualification will be MBBS including the 1 year compulsory internship. After this you have to go for a post graduation degree which will be MD in Psychiatry (3years). Once you complete you PG you must complete your residency and go for DPM i.e Diploma in psychological medicine(2 years) or DNB psychiatry (3 years).After this you will be a psychiatrist and can obtain a Lisence and Board Certificate.Remember do not get confused between psychologist and psychiatrist.
