Hello,

Any degree or graduation/post-graduation in any subject is alright. For higher education, one should always pursue the subject which one finds interesting and is comfortable with. Academic career and interest should not be compromised for an uncertain and highly competitive career in civil service.

If you find physics or chemistry really exciting, please go for that. I always feel a good science student has greater flair and ability to write precise answers in a logical and objective manner.

You can prepare. Upsc accept candidates from all background.

Cheers !!

Hello,

With the clout of government jobs increasing by the day, IAS stand out from all of them due to the respect and power it enjoy in the Indian society. In fact, many aspirants start dreaming about being part of the Indian Administrative Service right from their school days and start preparing for the coveted civil services examination from then on. The trend has seen an upward growth trajectory in the last two years, where even IAS coaching institutes have registered a higher number of undergraduate candidates preparing for the IAS examination.

What you can do is start reading newspapers and school ncert books. It will form your base. Further you can opt for ias coaching classes.

I wish you all the best.

Cheers !!

You should complete at least one degree if you want to go for upsc exams.

First concentrate on completing graduation but never leave your preparation for ias.

Go through all the newspapers and gain required knowledge.

All the best for your preparation.

Suggestion: go through Manorama book for gk and all current affairs.
