To become a police officer, one has to be 21 years of age and pass a competitive exam. Indian Government recruits the police officers in various departments through many examinations such as Civil Services,SSC Constable Exams and other state level recruitment exams. Many aspirants appear for these examinations.

You can also become an IPS officer after Graduation by appearing for exams conducted by UPSC .
