First of all, let me tell you something about merit index- A merit index is a combination of certain subjects that can be used to inform a process of Mark-allotment selection for a particular set of criteria.

The criteria for calculating index mark is- The point in the Course will be calculated by adding 10% of total marks obtained in the 'best five' subjects Higher Secondary / equivalent examination and the marks obtained in the subjects.
