There are 5 sections in MAT question paper. Only 4 sections marksheet taken into account for calculation of MAT percentile. Marks for e-sections contents of 40 questions is the raw marking of total 200  of 5 sections. Mat scores are scaled to 100 for each section. Out of 200, 160 for 4 paper section is taken into account aur calculation of percentile. Only Business economics environment paper is taken out of 200 marks i.e.160 marks.  Calculating percentile is with difficult by an example we can understand how it is calculated.h suppose there are a total number of 3lakhs students who appeared in the CAT exam. Now you scored a rank of 4000, then your CAT percentile will be : Your CAT percentile = [1 - { 4000/300000 }] * 100 .

Composite score of MAT is 800. Those who get 80 to 90 percentile can  get a good college for MBA.
