For a competitive exam like NDA the most important thing you need is Consistency. You have to be consistent with your preparation. Prepare wisely and thoroughly. Do not skip days. Make a time table and follow it religiously. Buy some books like RD Sharma and solve it daily. Also try to solve the examples given in the book as there are very many tricky questions in the example section.

Also make a habit of reading one newspaper daily. Newspaper like Times of India, Indian Express, etc are really good.
