The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Exam Syllabus is classified into three categories namely Preliminary, Mains and Interview.




The Preliminary syllabus is mainly designed to assess candidate's comprehension on current affairs and aptitude within the stipulated time. The preliminary paper is a compulsory paper and qualifying in nature.

UPSC Civil service exam shall be cinducted in 2018 for Candidates seeking top civil service posts for India, generally cabinet posts from Jndian Government.

The exam shall consists of Mains , Prelims and Interview with sufficient weightage to all.

To join as an IAS officer the candidate must be of age within specific range of 21-32 years as on 1st August,2018 as ser new rules.



The exams contains Two sets of paper and exhaustive syllabus with tipics like General Awareness, General Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and English, Numerical abilty, Essay writing.

The Mains and Prelims exam have sufficient gap jn between hence, there is good time for Preparation.
