For admission in  BITSTAT you need to qualify the exam organized by bits Pilani. There is no option to get admission through 12th marks.

BITS takes admission only based on your scores and ranks in the BITSAT entrance test. Your  class 12th marks are considered only to check your eligibility to take admission there. According to the eligibility criteria laid out by them you need to score a minimum aggregate of atleast more than 75% marks in PCM subjects to be eligible to take admission there. Your 12th marks wont be considered other than this for the admission process. Final admission is done based on scores in BITSAT.

Though the topper of each board in class 12th is given direct admission in BITS without considering your marks in entrance test.
