The candidate must have certain qualification needed to apply for B.A. degree in Defense and Strategic Studies. They must have passed intermediate (10+2) class studies from any of the recognized board or educational institutions. The minimum of 50% marks required for this course. Marks obtained in intermediate exam (10+2) acts as the prime foundation for admission. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained for the final round interview.

The admission to the course takes place towards the start of each academic year.
